About Kier Highways:
Kier Highways have designed over £1bn of projects in two years, managing and maintaining more tunnels for strategic roads in the UK than any other provider. We design roads, bridges and intelligent transport systems, covering strategic and nationally important roads, and in total look after 50,000km of road network across the UK for Highways England, London Highways Alliance, Transport for London and several local authorities.
Your role as a Graduate Design Engineer within Kier Highways will include the following:
You’ll be involved in scheme investigation, site inspections and investigation, data collection and analysis
You may also be engaged in feasibility studies, preliminary/detailed design, preparation of tender documents and construction inspection/supervision & other activities.
Prepare technical design calculations, drawings, reports, tender documents, specifications, designer’s risk assessments and other CDM documentation and other documents under supervision.
We have offices and projects throughout the UK so you will need to be flexible and mobile as travel will be required in the role as well as potential rotations. Travel will open you up to varied experiences and is a great way for you to gain broad knowledge and practical skills during the two-year graduate programme. Our mentors and buddies will offer you support through the programme and share their knowledge with you.

What you need to qualify:
We look for those who embody our company ethos, whilst academically you’ll have completed your degree (or about to), on course to achieve a 2.1 or above on a Design, Structural or Civil Engineering related programme.
