Technology - Leadership Development Programme
Good at technology? Go to the front of the class.
Could you transform gamers into coders and developers? We’re looking for inspirational graduates to tackle the decline in students achieving computing qualifications, and help transform the futures of young people around the UK.
Teach First is an education charity working to ensure that every child has an excellent education, regardless of their background. Teach First supports committed graduates – people like you – to become inspirational teachers in schools in low-income communities across England and Wales.
STEM curriculum areas have the greatest need for inspirational leaders and technology is one of the subjects which demands the greatest need for teachers who can really motivate their students. We are looking for teachers who can show them that technical subjects are about more than using MS Office, that technology can solve problems and that coding is cool.
If you want to ensure every child gets a top education and chance in life, join Teach First’s Leadership Development Programme (LDP). Informed by 14 years of development, our world-class programme combines global best practice in leadership development and teacher training. During the programme you’ll gain a fully-funded Postgraduate Diploma, worth double the credits of a PGCE, to become a qualified teacher.
Covering both education and leadership, you’ll then have the option to top the qualification up to a Master’s degree. You’ll also acquire the key skills and personal qualities needed to develop you into an effective leader - someone who can make a real impact. If you can inspire in the classroom, you can bring resilience, efficiency and imagination to any environment, no matter where your career takes you.
Over 10,000 people have joined the LDP so far. Many have remained in the classroom and many others are working in leadership roles across all sectors of the economy. What they all have in common is a belief that every child should have equal opportunities in education and in life, and the knowledge they are contributing towards this goal.
Time is running out to join our 2017 cohort. We receive extremely high volumes of applications for our Leadership Development Programme at this time of year.
To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend applying by Tuesday 18 April to have a better chance of securing:
