"There is a very friendly culture with little hierarchy and great emphasis on teamwork and co-operation. I am made to feel comfortable and relaxed in my work place and enjoy socialising with colleagues."

"Clear management structure, but everyone's opinion counts. Strong teamwork and great camaraderie."

"Very strong social culture within the firm, with many events to ensure we meet as many colleagues as possible."
Consulting, Graduate, London
"Genuinely flat hierarchy, everyone is approachable and generally pleasant to be around. Teaming is a huge thing – we have weekly calls to ensure that we are working as a team effectively, and people are incredibly helpful as a rule. Socialising is very strong, BCG events are legendary. I frequently go out with my colleagues on a Friday night."

"Despite the office becoming tense near a deadline; the firm has a flat hierarchy and is full of fun people to be around."

"Teamwork and cooperation is fantastic at BCG with everyone being helpful and supportive. The project leaders are invested in your growth and rely on you to challenge their thinking. Outside of office hours there are a lot of social activities, but finding the time to participate in all of them can be difficult!"

"The team is supportive, friendly and collaborative at BCG, and it makes for a friendly culture. I found that people are proud to work here but are not big-headed. There is a big emphasis on bonding: international retreats for the whole office, a ski trip, a surf trip, Friday drinks, karting and sports."
Entry level, London
"Approaching partners and senior partners is generally not too difficult, which encourages a sense of culture at the firm. You can expect to have some one-on-one/direct work with junior partners even as a new joiner. Teams are usually small, but there is a fun office culture. There are lots of societies and events. Fridays are generally laid back and include lunch/drinks events."
Graduate, London
"BCG does not have a very hierarchical culture, so there is incredible co-operation, and teamwork at all levels."
Graduate, London
"There is a very friendly and open door culture at BCG: minimal hierarchy, high levels of co-operation and good team work."
Entry level, London
"There is a strong collegiate culture within the organisation. Teamwork is emphasised and the majority of colleagues have a genuine willingness to help others to succeed. Senior colleagues have a tendency to squeeze more out of you, and you are required to work long hours to get the job done, but the organisation want to favour a good work/life balance."
Graduate, London
"There is a big emphasis on cooperation and teamwork in the organisation. Junior staff are encouraged to speak up and challenge senior staff where appropriate. There are great social events, such as weekends away, Friday drinks and team meals."
Entry level, London
"There is a very helpful culture, although there are different levels of seniority, but there is always the chance to give input and have it considered."

"We have a culture of openness and a very flat hierarchy. I've had plenty of interaction with the most senior people in the office. We have specific bonding events outside the office such as the ski trip, and global diversity networks. In terms of career development - we are not competing against each other, so there is a strong sense of collaboration."
London
"Quite a flat hierarchy within a case team; everyone's opinion is valued but structure and direction is there when you need it. Sociable workplace - people are all friendly and there's always a good crowd out on a Friday night."
London
"BCG is a friendly workplace, but with very high expectations."
London
"Amazing social events, great bonding events, a good culture where everyone can make friends across seniority levels. There is a real push to ensure that new BCGers meet more established BCGers, e.g. new joiner ski trip."
London
"Everyone is super-keen to help each other so it's a genuine learning environment; office places a very strong emphasis on bonding activities which allows you to meet loads of people very quickly."

"Friendly, helpful colleagues, who are always willing to help out with questions ranging from the 'stupid' ("How do I stop the box in Powerpoint from resizing?") to the more fundamental ("How do you think I can improve the way I work, and continue to develop?") across all levels of the firm. Strong bonding infrastructure in place, and it seems that there are activities (beyond your usual Friday drinks) planned every other month, ranging from ski trips, to paintballing, to surf trips..."
London
"Socialising is deeply ingrained in BCG's culture including after work and weekend activities with colleagues. Strong sense of community also during work hours."
London
"Very collaborative and very friendly with a lot of socialising. However, nothing is obligatory."
London
"The culture here is open and welcoming. There is plenty of opportunity to socialise and relax with colleagues. You are encouraged to discuss and debate your work with those at all levels of seniority both on and off your project. Typical project teams are between three and five people."
London
"Despite a very clear career ladder and hierarchical structure, the culture is incredibly friendly and open. As a recent graduate, I regularly spend time openly discussing work and life with Partners. There is great bonding culture at BCG that filters down into socialising outside of work and great events shared as a firm."
