"There's training for both hard skills (Excel, Tableau etc) and soft skills (owning a module, client interaction etc)."

"The company sends us abroad for a week of training at a time (eg Munich and Paris). These are quite relaxed programmes but teach very useful skills."
Graduate, London
"There's two weeks of training upon joining and another week within your first year. We have half-day sessions every two to three months. Training is decent but most things are best learned on the job. Team members at all levels show a great willingness to teach and support, even during particularly busy periods."
Graduate, London
"When you start, you have an initial week of London training and then European training. These are quite useful for content and very useful for getting to know people."
Graduate, London
"The formal training syllabus contains some key knowledge (eg financial accounting) and skills training (eg establishing presence), which is good. The most valuable learning, though, comes from the job itself. The amount of responsibility given to junior people is huge so it's a fantastic way to learn a lot very quickly."
Graduate, London
"You get two weeks of formal training upon joining, with another week to come later that year. There's also a half-day of training approximately every two months. These are all good forums for discussion and provide a good foundation, but most skills are developed on the job."

"Excellent training programmes both at the office and internationally."

"Great training programmes that focus on the core skills required for a consultant, such as communication and problem solving."

"There is a lot of online training; alongside other training sessions. Skills and knowledge I have learnt include: organisation design, the pyramid principle, owning a module and Excel modelling, among others."
Graduate, London
"There is fantastic training at BCG. For instance, there is a vast online library of proprietary training videos, international training trips and several local training sessions in the office every Friday. The training covers both hard and soft skills (use of Excel, programming in R and learning how to present to clients, among others)."
Entry level, London
"There are excellent and consistent training programmes on very useful topics - be it financial modelling or improving communication skills with clients."
Entry level, London
"There is an initial two week training period; including one residential week abroad. This is in addition to regular half/full day training sessions, which are a mixture of mandatory and optional."
Graduate, London
"The initial induction prepares you well, and there are lots of options for training sessions in the office each Friday, alongside incredible amounts of material online."
Entry level, London

2014

"You are expected to go on a week-long pan-continental training every ~nine months as well as having in-house sessions every single Friday at the office. Obviously, you are not able to attend them all but realistically speaking one should expect to make it to one two-four hour session every month. We also have a very high quality on-line based training platform, which allows you to go through modules in any order of your preference so you can focus on your personal professional development needs."
London
"The two-week formal induction training is followed up with training courses run every Friday. You pick and choose which you want to attend aside from a core of six modules, and then there is another week long residential training ~six months in. The content varies from financial modelling to how to be impactful when meeting clients."
London
"Superb breadth and depth of training opportunities."
London

2013

"Weekly office-based training program that you can tailor to your needs. Beyond that, huge volume of online training that you can access as and when you want it. Training also in informal way within project teams on a regular basis."
London
"The best formal and informal training I have ever encountered."
