"In the office, everyone is to the point and there is no nonsense. This takes some initial conditioning but it's definitely preferable to the alternative. Everyone goes out of their way to help you out and support for new people is a very noticeable priority. There is an almost entirely flat hierarchy, which means anyone can challenge anyone and we are never led by someone incompetent. This means that the most sensible decision is, in most cases, the one undertaken. A lot of effort is put in for people to socialise after hours. The most noticeable example is a free team-building course in the Caribbean! I have found so much support both at official work events and just talking to workmates in the pub."

"In the office, everyone works together and gives help if it's required. There is no hierarchy so everyone is really approachable. Every week, there is a free bar and there is a week-long trip for everyone once a year. This year's was sailing in the British Virgin Islands."

"I think we have one of the most unique yet effective working cultures in our organisation. It is a very direct and collaborative environment, and I really think this encourages cooperation and teamwork – it really makes you feel invested in the work you do. TPP is also a very social company and you honestly feel in a position where you can socialise with colleagues outside of work due to the direct and collaborative culture of the company."

"It's a very young company so you work with a really sociable crowd and you're encouraged to socialise from day one. In work I mix with other teams and there are loads of external social events. There is no hierarchy and you are trusted to do your work straight away, which is a great plus, but sometimes you need more help and it's not always available. Teamwork is usually great and I really enjoy working with my colleagues."

"Open, honest and supportive. Mistakes aren't just tolerated, they're accepted – we learn from them and share the lessons. The hierarchy is flat with no line management; this encourages everyone to share responsibility. Most of the staff go to the pub on Fridays, and several groups of people socialise outside of work with colleagues (eg rock climbing, board games, walking)."

"There is a flat hierarchy within the company, with everybody on the same level. As a result, the culture within the company is brilliant. Everybody pays each other equal levels of respect and you are immediately welcomed upon starting."

"There's a very flat organisational structure, making experienced teammates and even the company's directors very approachable. There's a friendly atmosphere and everyone is willing to help each other out. Although teams have their own tasks to complete, there is a great deal of cooperation between them. A lot of employees meet up at the pub every Friday, so there's plenty of socialisation."
Graduate, Leeds
"There are always plenty of social events going on, allowing you to get to know the people you work with much better. This leads to a much nicer working environment on a day-to-day basis."
