"An 18-month refurb project is soon coming to an end. The quality of our working spaces and client spaces have vastly improved. We are looking forward to the new cafe and auditorium opening soon."

"The refurbishment has made the office spaces great to work in. The kitchens on each floor have great facilities and the client areas are very impressive."

"The firm has recently invested heavily in refurbishing the entire office space (which is nearing completion) and the offices are now very modern and spacious."
First year trainee, London
"The firm has recently been extensively refurbished and the new offices are excellent – the space is much lighter and more open. The firm's dress code is generally relaxed."
Second year trainee, London
"The offices are currently being refurbished. The old parts are somewhat dated but the finished parts are shiny and new. Great location in between St Paul's and Farringdon. Plenty of good bars, restaurants and lunch spots nearby. Corporate dress code but with dress down Friday."
Second year trainee, London
"The location is excellent, near both St Paul's and Farringdon, and the offices have had a recent makeover. The building is still somewhat of a 'house' though and not as impressive as many law firms that are based in skyscrapers. The fact that corporate and the rest of the firm are split between two different buildings can be annoying."
Second year trainee, London
"Swanky new offices! Dress code is quite relaxed. It's rare to see a tie. Fridays is dress down."

"There's just been a refurb to the offices but some haven't been finished yet. The facilities are OK: showers, gym (but you have to book FAR in advance to use it), lovely break-out spaces etc. The fifth floor kitchens make some great food (particularly the brownies) but, due to the refurb, we've not had a canteen for quite a while. The location is great though and there's an array of great eateries/bars etc nearby."

"The firm is currently under refurbishment, but the new offices look excellent. The dress code is fairly relaxed when you're not meeting clients."
Second year trainee, London
"The London office is well located near St Paul's, and although it is currently undergoing a major refurbishment, it is a nice office space. The dress code is business attire, but it is not super smart."
First year trainee, London
"While the current offices are nothing spectacular they are undergoing a big refurbishment. The dress code varies wildly from department to department, with some more relaxed than others."
First year trainee, London
"The office is in a great location, and although the shower rooms could do with a spruce up, the office is soon to be refurbished which will be fantastic. The dress code is formal, but there is room for creativity."
Second year trainee, London
"The offices are currently being refurbished, so there has been some disruption, but the plans for the new premises look excellent."
First year trainee, London
"The room share system at the office is the best part of it, and the rest of the facilities serve their purpose. The firm has dress down Friday, but that's strictly no jeans. Generally you only have to wear a tie or jacket for client meetings."

"Renovation works are to take place to our office space. The dress code is business attire, apart from smart casual on Fridays. In practice, the majority of men do not put ties on unless attending client meetings."
Second year trainee, London
"Our office is in a great location, next to Smithfield Market. Men wear suits but no ties or jackets unless at meetings."
First year trainee, London
"Great location, offices can be messy. I think this adds to the charm of the firm and the laid-back culture."
First year trainee, London
"Location is fantastic, between St Paul's and Chancery Lane. Lots of parks nearby if you want to get out into the sun. We do not live in a skyscraper, but that is part of the Travers Smith charm."
First year trainee, London
"Office is tired but is about to undergo renovation. The dress code is fairly relaxed. Ties are not necessary in the office and Fridays are our 'dress down' day, which doesn't extend to jeans but is generally much more casual."
First year trainee, London
"I actually quite like the office, although some people think they are not swish enough. We are having a refurbishment of the whole office this year, which should provide better facilities including for the gym, kitchens and canteen. As would be expected, the dress code is smart."

"The offices are nice, in a very good location in Farringdon - although it is a slight frustration that the Corporate department is across the road. The dress code is just normal office wear."
First year trainee, London
"Great location between the Old Bailey and the restaurants and bars of Clerkenwell/Farringdon. The actual décor of the offices is a little plain. The dress code is varied depending on department (e.g. Corporate is less formal, whereas you more often wear a tie in Employment)."
First year trainee, London
"Location is great and I think the completion suite is impressive when it comes to signing. Dress down policy on a Friday."
First year trainee, London
"Easy going dress code (i.e. no ties unless in meetings). Offices are fine but lack decent storage."
1 yr PQE, London
"Fancy offices are not what we are about, so if that is the kind of thing that excites you we might not be for you."
Newly qualified solicitor, London
"Location is great. Can sometimes feel a bit small, and does need a refurbishment. We have dress down Fridays, and on normal days the code is fairly relaxed with hardly anyone wearing ties unless meeting clients."
