"There are various pro bono and corporate social responsibility initiatives across the firm including legal advice clinics, pro bono projects and pro bono work for the firm's charity partner (which changes every two years). A lot of people across the firm are involved in different pro bono matters and everyone is encouraged to get involved in this work as well as the many corporate social responsibility programmes and committees."

"There is a raft of pro bono initiatives to choose from. I have assisted on the General Legal Advice clinic, the City Law School clinic, Lawyers in Schools, the BEE Scheme (financial literacy for children) and the Reading Scheme (for primary school children who need support with reading). I also spend a great deal of time helping to run the PRIME scheme, which offers work experience to secondary school students who might not otherwise have access to the City. This was hard work but extremely rewarding."

"This is another area where the firm is showing increasing commitment. We have won a number of awards, in particular in recognition of our help establishing the Refugees at Home scheme, which connects people with a spare room with asylum seekers and refugees. Other notable work includes: the domestic violence clinic, general legal advice clinic, BEE scheme (providing financial literacy in schools), corporate social responsibility art programme and Lawyers in Schools."

"I volunteer for the 'business, enterprise and employability' scheme where we go into schools to teach children on topics such as managing money and basic company structure. It's great to give them an opportunity to learn about topics outside of their normal curriculum. Later this year I will also be assisting in running a PRIME scheme in our offices. PRIME is an organisation that promotes work experience for talented students from less privileged backgrounds and we will be offering a number of year 12 students work experience in our offices during their half term."

"There are some excellent pro bono projects (I have worked with colleagues on the Bethnal Green domestic violence clinic) but I would have expected there to be more of them and for them to be more prevalent in the firm."
