Marketing Graduate

I chose to work at ABF because the scheme and business really appealed to me. The scheme appealed to me because you get to spend a year in 2 different businesses on different brands, meaning you get a good mix of experience. The business appealed to me because it seemed like a very people orientated business. 

I am responsible for looking after the Truvia brand and supporting on Silver Spoon branded activities. Typical activities include monitoring the performance of the brand, managing the development of Truvia's campaigns and the Truvia budget, project managing product innovation and new packaging designs, and monitoring social media accounts and the brand websites. 

I have received a lot of graduate training on the scheme. There has been marketing training, such as brand positioning, brand building, innovation and consumer immersions. There has also been core skills training, such as time management, leadership and followership, presentation skills and influencing. 

There have been several highlights of my scheme. I have really enjoyed getting comms and brand planning experience whilst I have been working on the Truvia brand. Doing a brand partnership with Tess Daly has been really interesting. Last year I worked on the Ryvita brand. Highlights there were launching Protein Crispbread and a new Crackerbread packaging design. 

I enjoy that my role is very varied. I get to do lots of different things which keeps my job interesting. This means I sometimes struggle to prioritise my work because I can have a lot on at times, so this can be challenging. My manager has helped me prioritise and manage my workload when I've needed support. 

I like working at ABF because I've got to work on some great projects and have real responsibility. I think I am developing well here and I am learning a lot which is very important to me.
