"I work 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. There's no culture of staying late, although you are expected to complete work with tight deadlines."
Marketing, Graduate, Brighton
"My working hours are quite long but, as I work away from home and enjoy the role I'm doing, I often come in earlier in the morning to start my day. There's a good balance between individual work and meetings and I do have the flexibility to work from home when necessary. I think it's great that grads are given the flexibility to work from home if needed and it shows the trust the company has in young talent."
Procurement, Graduate, Brighton
"I have a good work/life balance and I'm never expected to work overtime. My manager is flexible regarding my hours when I have personal commitments."
Procurement, Graduate, London
"My hours are very flexible. I have the opportunity to spend time over and above my contracted hours to make a difference."
Entry level, Tilbury
"My current placement is at the central office of the business where we operate flexible working. This allows us to shift our working hours depending on what works for us eg working 10.00 am to 6.00 pm instead of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. We also have the freedom to work at home if we need to."
Graduate, Peterborough
"I am contracted for 35 hours a week but I tend to work more than that with travelling to suppliers. My employer is very flexible with start and finish times as well as working from home."
Procurement, Graduate, Peterborough

"I work flexi hours meaning I don't have to always be in 9.00 am to 5.00 pm every day. Depending on what I have on each week I can flex my hours to suit. Quite often I work it so I can finish at 3.00 pm on a Friday."
Graduate,
"My hours change depending on what placement I'm on. While it isn't quite flexi time, people are very understanding if you have a reason for needing to leave early."
Supply Chain, Graduate, Manchester
"Very flexible working hours as the focus is on output instead. Summer working hours allow you to finish early on a Friday."
Marketing, Graduate, London
"Engineering shift work is generally 7.00 am – 7.00 pm, day shifts and night shifts. You'll be expected to spend some time on shift within your first nine months. Sites tend to be eight hour days with times varying between 7.00 am and 4.30 pm. Early finishes are nice and give you your evenings. I currently have to work some Saturdays managing shutdowns, but you get lieu days in return."
Graduate, Stevenage
"We have flexible working hours, which means I can work around the traffic on the way to work and my activities and social life of an evening. I can even manage to get away early on a Friday if I am heading somewhere else for the weekend."
Supply Chain, Graduate, Peterborough
"My contracted hours are 37.5 per week but in reality it's more like 50. This is not enforced, just my own personal motivation to do more."
Midlevel, Maidenhead
"I have a great work/life balance. Generally, working overtime is frowned upon as it means you're not managing your workload effectively. However, there will obviously be busy stages and lulls. The flexible hours allow you to have a personal life. Summer time hours are a benefit where, provided you work an additional hour Mon – Thurs, you can finish at Friday lunchtime. This is great for weekend getaways and catching some sunshine."
Graduate, Home Counties
