I got the job a few months after I finished university. Choosing Eurostar was a simple decision for me. I was very interested in the variety of rotations available and the length of the programme. The scheme also appeared to allow great visibility to senior management whilst learning a lot about the business whilst on rotation.
The graduate role involves management of internal business projects, managing stakeholders, creation of content and many more insightful learnings through working on business needs. The scheme involves working on four rotations for six months at a time.
Whilst at Eurostar, we have received a special tailored training programme which includes various sessions around developing soft skills and developing ways of managing a team.
My highlights so far include running various diversity projects, creation of a kid’s pack, implementing new systems within the business. Aiding the development of the company’s strategy going forward and much more. I enjoy having the ability to really impact the business through my work! It makes me feel good about myself and it feels good to have the people believe in your ability.
There have been some great challenges so far including work on very high projects supported by internal mentors, the graduate scheme manager and line managers.
Eurostar is a great brand and there is a real push for graduates to tackle big projects which is a massive perk. The ability to travel too is a bonus. I am now rolling off the graduate scheme into a new role which the business has assisted with. Their dedication to my growth made me want to stay.
