About Fairview International School
We are an independent co-educational IB candidate school for ages 5 - 13 based in Bridge of Allan.
While new to the UK, Fairview International School network comes with a rich heritage of providing inspirational learning to pupils for over forty years. We are seven schools based across Malaysia and the UK, over 300 teachers and a body of 3000 students. That’s the Fairview family.
Our programme is based around the highly respected IB. By following this inspirational way of learning, children develop a true love of learning. We challenge our pupils to reach their absolute potential through inspirational teaching that puts the individual in the driving seat. Success is not only measured on academic achievement but on the individuals they become. Fairview students are inquisitive, resilient, confident young people who leave us with the skills to succeed in life whatever that might hold.
Our absolute focus is on developing motivated, well-rounded students with a real passion for learning and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. We adopt a holistic and transformative approach to education, which means our students are truly invested and take responsibility for their own learning to become independent learners.
As a result, they are empowered not only to succeed academically but to develop a true sense of themselves in preparation for whatever their future holds.
University College Fairview (UCF) is an accredited higher education institution specialising in the delivery and training of IB teaching education. Located in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, UCF is part of the Fairview International School Group who focuses on all levels of IB education from Early Years through to Diploma, through our network of IB World Schools in Asia and Europe. The Fairview International School network also provides relevant areas for research especially in longitudinal studies on classroom pedagogy, curriculum development, best teaching practices, educational psychology, cross-cultural and inter-cultural studies, leadership co-curriculum and other educational-related research focuses. Research results from these studies in authentic classrooms have benefited both local and international researchers and the education field.
The Fairview International IB World Schools provide an extensive network of work based opportunities, where the student teachers spend a substantial portion of their time working as a teacher under the guidance of their mentors, instructors and specialist teachers. The programme at UCF aims to holistically combine lectures and classroom practical training.
