Satisfaction with Work

8.6 / 10

(based on 10 ratings in 2019)

2019

"My day-to-day role involves various meetings and the development of code. No two days are the same and each day brings new (motivating) challenges. The work has been great and I get involved in some real work aiding the company."
Technology, Placement Student, Surrey
"The majority of the projects I have run have gathered interest from other areas of the business, demonstrating that the work I'm doing is crucial and of benefit to the business. I'm not just taking on 'busy work'."
Placement Student, London and Surrey
"I am very satisfied with the second rotation as I have been given many opportunities to be involved in different projects. Although, in the first rotation, the bulk of the work felt quite monotonous and it would have been improved if there were opportunities to work on projects."
Placement Student, Surrey
"I had around three projects to begin with that were fairly minor. However, once I had surpassed the expectations of my team, they quickly gave me more complex work to get involved in. I had six projects that I was working on at one point, four of which I was leading. The work I did was genuine work that has added value to my team."
Intern, Kingswood
"For the first four weeks, I had a very bland and repetitive task that was important but not exciting. In the second half, I had a more hands-on and 'real' project so I felt as if I was a current associate in the team."
Intern, London
"Currently I am working with two different teams and handling eight interesting projects. One of them is based on VR and AR technology. I spend two days a week working in Kingswood and the rest in the Cannon street office. My day-to-day activities involve making interactive reports, research, managing projects, implementing solutions (Websites and APIs) and drinking lots of coffee."
Placement Student, Cannon Street, London.

"I have morning meetings to catch up with the day-to-day work and then I work on my assigned tasks throughout the day."
Technology, Placement Student, Kingswood
"The work is quite variable, which can be a good and a bad thing. I have written a lot, working on guides, brochures, scripts and reports etc. I've also had to do my own research into markets and competitors and prepare presentations based on these findings. At other times, I've had nothing to do, which can be annoying. My days are occasionally broken up with meetings (maybe three per week) and lunch-and-learns (presentations describing different areas of the company delivered over excellent lunches)."
Intern, London/Kingswood
"Day to day I get involved with all the RegTech projects going on within the team. This may be researching new products and vendors or developing data systems etc."
Placement Student, Surrey and London
"I'm assigned interesting projects that are of use to the company. A lot of what I do is research what competitors are doing and compare their practices to Fidelity's. I also review the systems that Fidelity has in place."
Intern, Kingswood, Surrey/ London
"I am happy with my main assignment. I have a big enough workload that I'm required to do a lot of research of my own and I like working on projects where the journey to the final goal is not clear at the start. I have been told that I would receive smaller projects after getting a little bit more guidance and instruction. Unfortunately, I have not heard any more about this yet despite asking."
Intern, Kent.
"I've been quite satisfied with the work I've been assigned as it has helped me to develop and improve my Excel skills. Day to day I tend to work on specific projects with data, talk with the team about their ongoing projects and learn about the sales process in my department."
Intern, London/Kingswood
