Offices & Dress

7.7 / 10

"The offices are comfortable and modern. We don't have the 'wow' design factor of some other City firms, but it doesn't seem necessary. The location is great and we're a stone's throw from Fleet Street and right near Blackfriars, so commuting is super easy. The dress code is smart but men don't usually wear ties day-to-day unless meeting clients. We have an unofficial casual Friday where people often wear jeans and a shirt, or other smart casual clothing."

"Offices are very nice and well located just off Fleet Street and by Blackfriars tube station. The gym in the basement is well equipped and is rarely too busy. The dining room is in the basement, which is a little bit of a shame but it still receives some natural light. The food is generally tasty. Trainees share an office with another trainee, which has its positives but also its negatives. The dress code is business attire (shirt and suit trousers). Rarely is anyone seen wearing a tie (unless they're going for client meetings) and there is an unofficial dress-down policy on a Fridays that involves wearing jeans and a casual shirt."

"Trainees get an office with a fellow trainee, which is really good. We have a good café and a well equipped gym as well. The dress code is business casual (ie suit but no need for a tie) and we have casual Fridays."

"We're very spoiled to have our own rooms. The facilities are great, including the gym and we have an informal dress code on a Friday."
Second year trainee, London
"There's really helpful staff and relatively nice offices. Trainees share their offices with other trainees, which is great."

"It's a good location with good offices and space shared between two trainees. We have office wear but are more casual on Fridays."

"The office space is great because you sit with another trainee and get some privacy/freedom by not sitting with partners or associates. The location is very good, right in the heart of the legal centre of London, close to many vibrant areas and easy to get to. The gym is small but it is nice to have one here. The dress code is office smart casual and on Fridays you can wear casual clothing."

"The office space and location are great and trainees getting their own offices is a great perk. The facilities are good and almost nobody wears a tie while in the office."

"We have nice and modern offices with good facilities, but the printers and IT systems could be significantly better. The dress code is moderately smart and some people participate in casual Fridays."

"Our offices are very modern and have recently been refurbished. The gym is great and the showers are new. Café 21 (the in-house canteen) is an excellent addition to the office."
