"The culture in the office is extremely positive with everyone wanting graduates to do well and succeed. At CEO level the graduate scheme is highly emphasised as the next phase of Marsh's 'grow our own' strategy. It's a very exciting time to be in the company as a graduate."

"Everyone gets on well. Open-plan offices make it easier to communicate with senior members of the organisation. The office I'm in has a good spread of old and young colleagues, making socials after hours great fun."
Graduate, Woking
"It's a good culture. Even though there is a hierarchy, I feel very comfortable speaking to senior members of my team and asking them questions. They also make an effort to get to know you, eg the managing director of my team and my line manager invited me for lunch before I started, which made my first day a lot less daunting. My team is very collaborative and everyone works together and helps each other out. It's also very sociable. After-work drinks are also a good way to meet underwriters and others in the market."

"It's brilliant from the top down. Everyone is friendly and there is a lot of socialising outside of work hours."

"The culture is great. If you're not really busy you're not made to stay sat at your desk and look like you're working. The company encourages flexible working and doesn't question your whereabouts so long as you are meeting your deliverables. The teams are very sociable and I definitely feel that I have made friends for life, even in my first three months."
Graduate, London
"Everyone in the office is very friendly. Everyone from the partners to the apprentices sit together and all senior staff are happy to spend time helping you to understand tasks."
Graduate, Manchester
"People are extremely friendly. Most people are willing to give your their time if you have a question or need help. There's a good amount of socialising between graduates on the programme, those in years above and those outside the graduate programme."
Graduate, Bristol
"Mercer Woking is a very sociable and tight-knit office. Hours are very reasonable (mostly 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) and the company really prioritises work/life balance (eg holidays are easy to book off, you can purchase more holiday, working from home is the norm and you can work from any other Mercer office when needed)."
