Who we are and what we do
We’re passionate about making a real difference in the communities we work by helping people access the support they need, and are proud to be one of the biggest providers of employment, health and disability support programmes in the country. Caring about each and every one of our customers is what our business is about. We are driven by a purpose: to help people transform their lives.
You'll join our Centre for Health and Disability Assessments (CHDA) business, where we deliver clinically-led assessments for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities across England, Scotland and Wales. We empower talented healthcare professionals to use their skills for good, with Doctors, Nurses and Physiotherapists working as part of a fantastic team who deliver over 1 million functional assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions every year.
Help change lives, without compromising your own. Work Monday to Friday, 9-5 for either three, four or five days a week, all on an enhanced salary. We want our colleagues to do good and be great, which is why we focus on providing the best work-life balance possible. You'll need a year of working experience before you join us (placements not included) so if you're still studying, keep us in mind, but if you're a former graduate with 12 months experience or more under your belt, take the opportunity!
Training and development
We'll give you all the training you need to be successful, with a three month supported pathway into the role. Once you're trained up and ready to go, we invest in CPD every year, offering modules designed to educate and update colleagues on specific health conditions and treatments. We're also are committed to sponsoring our clinicians to enable them to conduct further training, as well as providing opportunities for Functional Assessors to take on additional activities, whether this is being trained in file or audit work, becoming a stage 3 mentor or a national trainer. There are opportunities to progress into other clinical roles such as the Clinical Standards Lead or Quality Assurance Lead.
