"I work 37.5 hours a week. There are very flexible working times."
Graduate, Enfield (London)
"I work 7.5 hours a day from Monday to Friday. How I make up those hours is very flexible so I'll quite often work an hour less on one day and an hour more the next to fit around social activities."
Graduate, Enfield
"Flexible working hours mean that, as long as you don't miss meetings (and are generally sensible), you can come in late and leave late or come in early and leave early. You are contracted for 7.5 hours a day and you can choose to have a long (or no) lunch as long as you are working for the allocated hours. If you need to do something that means you need to make up hours, this is usually totally fine as long as you discuss it with your manager."
Graduate, Enfield
"There are flexible working hours but some teams will have daily meetings at certain times so you can't be in too late, but you can join meetings remotely if desired. It's also acceptable to work from home on some days once you are a little more experienced. You aren't expected to work more hours than your contract."
Graduate, London

"Our contracted working hours are 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with an hour for lunch. This is pretty flexible for most people so long as you make the 37.5 hours in a week. Some areas of the company have to be more strict due to client commitments."
Graduate, Enfield
"The hours are extremely flexible. We're contracted to work 37.5 hours a week so as long as you do that and are in the office at vaguely sensible times, everything else is flexible."
Entry level, Enfield
"My hours are very flexible so I can work from home or come in late if I have a doctor's appointment etc with very little fuss. I generally work my contracted hours or a couple of hours over."
Graduate, Edinburgh
"My contract is for 37.5 hours a week with the standard hours being 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with an hour for lunch. The company is very flexible with work, provided you make the hours up and don't miss any meetings. This is very helpful for days when you might need to leave a bit early or get in a bit late because you can just make the time up the same day or at another time in the week if needed."
Graduate, Enfield, London
"You may need to work extra time some weeks but there is no expectation to do so regularly. The company is very flexible regarding your start and end times as well as working from home."
Graduate, Edinburgh
"The company is very flexible about when you arrive and leave so long as you're putting in about the right amount of time. Some people take a two-hour lunch every day and just stay a bit late, the range of people's start and end times varies massively. It also helps a lot with things like doctors' appointments and haircuts as it's easy to nip away from the office for an hour because you never feel like you're 'on the clock'."
Graduate, London

"Hours are very flexible as we don't have a set start time. Anywhere between 9.00 am and 10.30 am is acceptable and you can leave between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm."
Graduate, Enfield, London
"Hours are highly flexible. Some people get in at 10.30 am and just leave later. There is never a feeling of being pressured to do overtime as there might be at some top flight inner city companies."
Entry level, Enfield, North London
"My work hours are 37.5 hours a week (7.5 a day). The employer is usually very accommodating of flexible work hours. I come in early and late some times and sometimes work more on one day than another."
Graduate, Enfield
"I work part time. My employer is very flexible as I have a family and often need to change my hours to suit my home life."
Experienced, Enfield, North London
"I typically work from 9.15 am to 6.15 pm and I take an hour for lunch. The hours I am allowed to work are flexible so long as I get my work done and am present in the office for any meetings. I know people who work very different hours."
Graduate, London
"Hours are completely flexible so long as my work gets done. There is no pressure to work over the contracted hours."
Entry level, Edinburgh
"My employer is very flexible about when work happens. I can start and leave early, or start and leave late. I can have a longer lunch and work later or I can work different hours on different days as needed. I can even work from home on the odd day when convenient (or arrange to work from home on a more frequent basis, if needed)."
Graduate, Edinburgh
"We all track the number of hours we complete each day in my team. This means that if you have a longer working day earlier in the week, you can take shorter days towards the end of the week."
Graduate, Enfield, London
"You're expected to work 37.5 hours a week but there's flexibility around which ones (people arrive between 8.00 am and 10.00 am and leave between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm I'd say). It's very rare that you're expected to stay late."
Graduate, London
"Some people work early, some people work late, some people fit their work around their family life etc. Work is pretty flexible about accommodating needs."
Graduate, Edinburgh
