"I don't like the pressure to work outside of the office sometimes, or to work from home when sick. However, relative to other consulting firms, PA seems reasonable when it comes to work hours."
Graduate, Cambridge
"This very much varies. Some weeks I work until late in the night, other weeks I work 9.00 am – 5.30 pm. While the employer is flexible, it is expected that you work hard and turn around deliverables very quickly."
Graduate, London
"At first, you may be working longer hours so that you can get up to speed with the firm and get involved in extra responsibility. However, this doesn't mean the excessive hours you hear about at other firms. I have mostly been working from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm and the odd hour or two to catch up on training courses. However, hours will vary once you go to a client site and you will be required to work the time required to ensure that the assignment is going well in addition to keeping up with head office commitments."
Graduate, London
"Hours depend on the project but they're very good compared to other consultancies. I have still managed to keep an active social life outside of work."
Graduate, London
"The average working week is not bad at all. No one monitors the hours you do and you are discouraged from working too late. On an average day, I arrive between 8.30 am and 9:00 am and leave any time between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm. While there have been days that I have needed to work later, there are also occasions where I have been able to get away at 4.30 pm on a Friday. If you are working on a client site, you may also have to spend some time travelling, depending on their office location."
Graduate, London
"PA doesn't have an excessive working hours culture. Working hours are also heavily dependent on the client so it really can vary. On average, I would say a typical day is 8.00 am – 6.00 pm."
Graduate, London
"When you are working on a client project, you normally match the hours that the client works – for most places this will be 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. When not on a project, the hours become more varied and can become quite long near deadlines."
Graduate, London
"This depends on whether or not you are on a client assignment. That said, there is very much a policy that the work being done to a good enough quality is more important than the hours. A typical day would be 8.00 am – 6.00 pm but can be longer if you're coming towards the end of a deadline."
Graduate, London

"The working hours are quite flexible, but it depends on the client. Typically I work 8:30am to 6:30pm, but it can be longer if I'm busy."
Graduate, London
"I work 37.5 hours a week and am able to manage my time to suit me - within reason that is."
Graduate, Cambridge/Melbourn
"I do not think that there are any real rules on hours, so I could be doing very long hours if working for a client, but this is not always the case."
