"Our office in Birmingham is brand new and has really good facilities including very nice showers, a Dyson hair dryer and GHD straighteners. The dress code is fairly relaxed for an office and we have dress-down days every Friday."
Second year trainee, Birmingham
"Being open plan enables communication with more people in other teams."
First year trainee, Leeds
"I am based in the Birmingham office, which is still very new and is visually a very nice office to work in as we only moved in about two years ago. The office is right in the centre of Birmingham so it is really well located and has facilities such as a good canteen and showers. The dress code is workwear Monday to Thursday (this doesn't necessarily mean wearing a suit) and then every Friday is dress down."
Second year trainee, Birmingham
"The space and location is good but facilities would be improved by a gym and a wider variety of food choices."
First year trainee, London
"The offices in Edinburgh are old and soon to be replaced (two offices will be merging into one new one). We have never had a canteen in Edinburgh whereas that seems to come as standard in the English regions and in London."
Second year trainee, Edinburgh
"The Manchester office is on the top two floors of one of the big office blocks in Spinningfields. The space is lovely and offers everything one needs including a deli to have lunch with the other trainees or co-workers. Spinningfields is also a buzzing area for any after-work drinks or food. The dress code is formal but relaxed (no tie) and Fridays are dress down."
First year trainee, Manchester
"The Manchester office could do with a revamp, especially compared to the other offices. It would also be good if there were more social areas like other firms have."
First year trainee, Manchester

"The office is modern and very high spec. It is in a good City centre location and has excellent facilities. The dress code is standard corporate dress, with dress-down Fridays once a month in aid of charity."
First year trainee, Manchester
"Our office has just been refurbished and we have moved to agile working. The new working space is light, bright and very modern. I wasn't sure about agile working but it's brilliant, it's really great being able to sit with different people each day, particularly as a trainee when you're trying to get to know people."
Second year trainee, Leeds
"The firm's London office is very impressive and excellently located right next to Liverpool Street. I like the fact that it is open-plan as this encourages integration and removes barriers between different levels of lawyers. The switch to agile has not led to the issues anticipated by some. The dress code for men is suits without ties so no one really wears a tie unless there's a client meeting."
First year trainee, London
"Our offices are all centrally located and designed to a high standard. Our new Birmingham office is a great space. The dress code is smart (as it should be for a top law firm) but ties are only required for client meetings and events."
First year trainee, Birmingham
"The Manchester office is based in Spinningfields, which is a good area to be in with plenty of bars, cafés and shops around. The office itself is nice although we are a little short on space as we have expanded so much recently."
Second year trainee, Manchester
"The Leeds office has just had a full refurb so everything is looking bright and new. The open spaces and colours are great, but they really need to spend some budget on redoing the loos and showers."
Second year trainee, Leeds
"Some floors have gone agile while others are planning to do so in the future. This means that we don't have our own desk, and we have to book one. This is going well, although there have been a few teething problems. Our dress code is mainly smart although some teams are more casual than others."
First year trainee, London

"The London office is nice, modern and open-plan with an in-house restaurant and Costa. I understand that it's being improved to better suit people who are on an agile working scheme. The dress code is smart office wear, although it's not very strictly enforced."
First year trainee, London
"The new Birmingham office is very impressive and a pleasant place to work."
Second year trainee, Birmingham
"The location of the Edinburgh office is excellent with many shops and restaurants nearby. The dress code is business dress from Monday to Thursday but most people wear business casual on Fridays."
First year trainee, Edinburgh
"Some offices are very good, while some perhaps require modernising."
Second year trainee, Glasgow
"The location is excellent and only three minutes from Liverpool Street. The offices are nice and the cafeteria food is above average (£3.25 for a hot meal at lunch). The dress code varies slightly as you need a slightly smarter outfit when you have client meetings."
First year trainee, London
"I love the London office. As much as I'd like to have my own office and the privacy that entails, the open-plan office space encourages teamwork and agile working."
Second year trainee, London
"We're in a great location in Leeds next to the train station in the city centre. The dress code is technically business dress although the firm is quite flexible with this. The majority of men do not wear a tie day to day and some teams have dress down Fridays. The whole office has a monthly dress down day with collections for charity."
First year trainee, Leeds
"The Leeds office has re-vamped the reception area but the working floors could do with a refurb. They carry out exercise classes on the top floor, which is great at lunch time. The Deli on the 7th floor does a cracking breakfast that can't be faulted."
First year trainee, Leeds
