2019

"There are lots of recycling bins and electricity initiatives that are built into the Broadgate Tower itself."
First year trainee, London
"Reed Smith takes recycling seriously. However, compared to our diversity and pro bono initiatives, I haven't seen much in terms of green initiatives lately."
First year trainee, Reed Smith LLP
"It's not bad, but we're trying to improve this year."
First year trainee, London

"Certain departments are very green conscious and have gone largely paperless. Other, more traditional departments are less so, but this is again also due to industry practices."
First year trainee, London

"Recycling is certainly a high priority and lights all switch off after a certain time. The bike-to-work scheme (including a funded bicycle purchase) is another example."
First year trainee, London

"To reduce its carbon footprint the firm recycles and has energy saving initiatives."
First year trainee, London
"In my experience, there seems to be little evidence that the firm is implementing any major initiatives, although they are focused on diversity and pro bono, so they are thinking about the social impact of the firm as a whole."
First year trainee, London
"I do not think that there is anything out of the ordinary in terms of reducing the firm's carbon footprint, and I definitely feel that there is more to be done, but there are posters and email signatures discouraging printing."
First year trainee, London
"In terms of reducing their carbon footprint; the firm recycles and the computers automatically shut off at 10:00pm."
First year trainee, London

2014

"I am a 'green champion', an initiative in the firm helping to raise awareness of reducing our carbon footprint at work. I know this is something the firm wants to build on in the future. Comprehensive recycling facilities are provided on each floor. There are energy saving lights, etc. throughout the building too."
First year trainee, London
"We are encouraged to recycle paper and computers automatically shut down at 10:00pm unless we request otherwise. Recycling in the kitchens can only be done with 'clean' items though, so a lot of potentially recyclable waste gets sent to landfill."
First year trainee, London
"We are always encouraged to recycle and there is a firm-wide waste reduction programme. Additionally there is a cycle to work scheme."
Second year trainee, London
"Paper and food recycling points on each floor. Emails regarding progress and green tips often circulated."
Second year trainee, London

"There are recycling bins everywhere!"
