About Roland Berger
Roland Berger, founded in 1967, is the only leading global consultancy of German origin. With 2,500 employees we have successful operations in all major international markets. Our 50 offices are located in 36 countries worldwide – with an upward trend: A local presence in all important markets is the key to our culture.
‘Creative strategies that work’ is the phrase that best sums up what we are about. We think and act from a strategic perspective. We constantly seek creative solutions – solutions that really work, that succeed in practice. In other words, we collaborate closely with our clients to see their vision become reality.
Outstanding management consultants are more than just brilliant analysts and strategists. Above all, they are strong and have creative personalities from a variety of backgrounds. Everyone at Roland Berger is committed to three core values: excellence, entrepreneurship and empathy.
Excellence is always our goal. This requires not only a sharp mind, but the ability to listen and observe carefully. Above all, curiosity and a passion for getting to the bottom of things are necessary.
From the very beginning, an entrepreneurial mind set has been firmly anchored in our culture. Entrepreneurship means taking responsibility, contributing your own ideas and implementing them – internally and with our clients.
Empathy means trust, respect and fairness – for the client and for each other. For you as an employee, this also means that we will continuously promote you and give you space to develop. If our paths diverge, a true partnership can survive a change. We stay by your side, even when you change course. These values shape everything we think and do. As a result, we create lasting, measurable value.
The London office’s main practice areas are Aerospace & Defence, Private Equity, Engineered Products and Healthcare. Additionally, we offer functional expertise in Financial Investor support, Operations, Restructuring and War-Gaming.
Our office has a friendly and supportive working environment with a strong international element in our work. Consultants benefit from a comprehensive training scheme; the two-week induction course for new entrants includes training in consulting skills, an introduction to our corporate culture and a great opportunity to network.
People who fit most easily into our culture are bright, proactive, hard-working, confident, personable and have a sense of humour.
Candidates should be on target for a 1st or 2:1 result in their undergraduate degree. Strong emphasis is placed on analytical skills. We also look for remarkable extra-curricular achievements, gained through sporting, musical or personal interests and evidence that the candidate is a well-rounded team player.
