About Santander

Santander is one of the largest and most successful financial groups in the world, and our ambition is to become the best bank for our customers, investors and employees. With an eye on the future, we recognise that technology is rapidly changing how customers bank and pay on the move and we are working to be at the forefront of that change.

Motivated by strong team work, an innovative approach to technology, market- leading incentive packages, and a culture of support, we deliver our personal best, every day. We focus on giving graduates everything they need to thrive as future leaders in their chosen areas. That means if they’re genuinely passionate, and bring an enthusiasm to their role, graduates are in a great position to develop the skills, experiences and relationships that will kick-start their careers.

Graduate schemes within the business are split into the following divisions – Retail and Business Banking, Corporate and Commercial Banking further complemented by specialist, operational and support functions. Each function is designed to give an in-depth understanding of what makes Santander tick. That could mean developing innovative products for our customers, identifying ways to improve processes for colleagues, or building relationships with high-profile clients.

Whatever the area, graduates will be making a difference from the start. This includes a Corporate Social Responsibility event for Santander’s charity of the year – where the aim is to support one million people in our communities by 2020.

What’s more, graduates will be part of a structured training scheme which is split into four learning cycles and ends with an industry-recognised qualification (CIOBS) in their chosen area. Add this to a dedicated graduate manager for each programme during the entire scheme, as well as continuous development – there are plenty of benefits and no shortage of opportunities to grow with Santander.
