About Skanska UK

Skanska, a leading construction company and developer, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. Known for major projects like the Gherkin and Crossrail, we are creating, upgrading and maintaining the country’s buildings and infrastructure. Drawing on our Scandinavian heritage, we are green, innovative and progressive. We bring together people and technology, helping to make our industry safer and more collaborative.

We believe that people are the heart of our business. It’s why we place such a strong emphasis on creating the right working culture. One that’s based on collective respect for ethics and principles, where you’re encouraged to really make the most of your talents in a supportive and caring environment.

If you have, or are studying toward, a bachelor’s or master’s degree and are looking to specialise in a particular profession, our two-year development programme can help you develop your skills and experience to realise your career goals.

We offer placements for eight-weeks over the summer or a year-out that will give you a great chance to find out more about your chosen profession – and Skanska – before you apply for a full-time role with us.

Joining us in any one of a range of technical and supporting roles, you’ll discover plenty of opportunities to grow your experience across the breadth of projects, and make an impact on the world around you. You’ll realise the potential of what we can do together, to build for a better society and help shape the future.
