About Step Into Teaching
Step into Teaching is a graduate teaching experience programme designed to encourage more graduates to choose teaching in schools as their number one career choice.
The programme provides talented graduates with practical school-based experience that will lay the foundations for a long-lasting and successful career in teaching.
It is ideal for any graduate who seeking a career in education but who wishes to experience classroom life before making any commitment to a training programme. We can support any graduate who is seeking a career working with children. The majority of graduates we support are aspiring teachers and aspiring educational psychologists.
In July 2021, Step into Teaching will have completed its first full academic year and even during a turbulent time with the pandemic we will still have started the teaching careers of over 100 people. Could you be next?
Graduates work in schools and academies as Academic Coaches, Mentors and Teaching Assistants. Our roles are paid, full-time in the same school and most graduates work for the full academic year.
We can support graduates with all degrees; however, a focus is always on English, maths, science and psychology.
For aspiring teachers, most schools we are partnered with can also offer you the opportunity to train to teach directly with them the following academic year. You will be supported from day one in your new role from key professionals within the school, who will aide your personal development and provide you with an outstanding introduction into a career working with children.
If you are passionate about working with young people and playing a key role in their development, then contact us at Step into Teaching today to start your journey.
