Relations with Management

7.9 / 10

(based on 18 ratings in 2019)

"There is a good structure in terms of performance reviews and objective setting online, which can be reviewed often. In terms of recognition, we have a scheme where you can go online and shout out a colleague. If they have gone above and beyond, you can nominate them for a sparkle, which is a bigger award."
Graduate, Hook
"It is a hot-desk environment, so you could easily be sitting next to or chatting with employees much more senior than yourself. This makes the corporate environment a lot more human."
Graduate, Bradford
"Depending on what team you are in, managers are more accessible than others, but there is always someone more senior that you can talk to. Communication from my current manager is good and he recognises when I do good work."
Graduate, Reading
"Managers are accessible. Some make good mentors while others have less experience. Performance feedback on the graduate scheme depends on the manager and is sometimes detailed, but other times just ends up being a score after a presentation. Internal communication is fairly satisfactory but sometimes unnecessarily secretive and dragged out."
Graduate, Reading/Hook
"I work closely with my manager and sit near them in the office so exposure to management and support is always there should I require it."
Graduate, Reading
"Managers are generally quite keen to develop the grads, though the amount of feedback can vary. We were also assigned separate buddies and mentors."
Graduate, Hook
