Our Industrial Placements

The best way to find out if a career at Accenture is right for you is to apply for one of our Industrial Placements. As well as getting a taste of what it’s like to work with us, you’ll gain valuable live project experience and enjoy a competitive pro-rata salary.

We offer a choice of placements:

Technology (12 months) – for technology specialists. You will apply to join one of two areas; Software Engineering or Client Delivery. Our software engineers study technologies including Java, Digital and Dev Ops, while our client delivery specialists are focussed on software and emerging tech such as cloud computing, mobile, social or analytics, before moving to a live project where you’ll build your skills on the job. By the end of the year, you’ll have gained some valuable experience, from development to deployment, and a range of certifications.

Consulting (12 months) – you’ll be immersed in live consulting project work from day one, taking on real responsibility. You could be involved in undertaking research, compiling reports, analysing complex information or testing software. Gaining an insight into what life is like at the sharp end of business and technology evolution, you’ll leave the scheme with some valuable skills.

Prove yourself on either scheme and you could receive an offer to join us when you graduate. For full scheme details, please see our website.

What’s in it for you

As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you can look forward to a competitive salary and other benefits. These may include generous holiday allowance, an interest-free season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership and a personal laptop. You’ll also be part of a vibrant graduate community with training, support and social events

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a strong communicator with a real passion for IT and how it can be used to make a difference to business. Overall, we’re looking for a willingness to try new things, a desire for self-improvement and a strong work ethic.

Please see our website for academic and other requirements specific to the placements.

Where you’ll work

The Technology Industrial Placement programmes are based at our London office. The Consulting Industrial Placement programme is also based in London. However, we may ask you to work in other UK locations during the 12-month period, so you’ll need to be flexible and prepared to travel.

How to apply

Full information on deadlines and our application and selection process and can be found on our website. Applications close on 29th January 2021 (Consulting) and 30th April 2021 (Technology). We receive an extremely high volume of applications for all programmes and it is sometimes necessary to close applications earlier than anticipated.
