2020 Graduate Engineer – Central Technology System team

Do you want to be part of an agile team pursuing solutions to complex and interesting problems facing the future of computing? Central Technology System team is responsible for influencing and defining Arm's system architecture and IPs.
We are seeking highly motivated and capable graduates with keen interests in investigation and analysis of both software and hardware aspects of a computer system. We focus on multiple different fields for computer system such as Mobile, Infrastructure, and Automotive etc.
You will join the Central Technology System team as graduate engineer, working on a range of investigation activities, analysis projects and next-generation system technologies including system architecture specification development.
In this role, you will have the opportunities to work with industry experts from across Arm and exchange ideas with them.


Bachelor university degree or higher, ideally in computer science or electronic engineering, although other STEM graduates will be considered if they have suitable experience.

Essential skills and experience

  • Understanding of computer architecture and its principles.
  • Understanding of runtime software stacks
  • Lateral thinking and problem solving.
  • Creativity / innovation – Possessing curiosity and a passion for driving continuous improvement through spotting opportunities and seeking the views of others.
  • Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge of firmware and operating systems fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of logic design, state machines and pipelines.
  • Familiar with programming languages such as C++, Java, Python etc.
  • Knowledge of standard algorithm and ability to analyse them
  • Experience with Robotics, Machine Learning and Computer Vision
  • Understanding of SW/HW interaction
