2020 Graduate Software Engineer in Test

Productivity Engineering (PE) within ARM develops key capabilities that fuels product and solution development for Arm's engineering community! Whether it’s high performance computing (HPC) on our on-prem data center and in the cloud, data platform that collects and reports all the engineering data to track engineering system’s allocation and utilization, or machine learning platform that drives business intelligence to make a more efficient engineering estate, the services and products we deliver are used by every engineer in Arm.

We are looking for a talented and passionate candidate with strong software testing background to join our cloud software team in PE. As a graduate SDET, you will be working in a team responsible for the entire cloud software testing activities that include:

  • Work closely with developers and DevOps to develop and review test coverage
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Build test framework; investigate and integrate new tools to existing framework
  • Communicate test results and performance metrics to the product stakeholders

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • A university degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent life experience and knowledge
  • Experience with one or more utility cloud services
  • Experience with software build and test pipelines
  • Experience of developing API-based infrastructure components
  • Experience with container systems
  • Experience of deploying applications in a cloud environment
  • Excellent software development skills utilizing multiple languages including Python, Shell, Perl, C, and Java, along with excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodology
  • Familiarity with one of the following tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust, and SonarQube
