As part of the Product, Marketing & Strategy team within the Media Networks business unit, we are responsible for the Strategy and Product propositions for distribution of content to the most popular TV, radio and online platforms in the UK and overseas. These include: Sky Satellite DTH, Freeview Play, YouView, FM radio and DAB, Apple TV and Amazon Prime. We provide services on behalf of all the major UK broadcasters including: Sky, the BBC, Global Radio, BT Sport as well as international media companies such as Viacom and Discovery Networks.
This rare and exciting opportunity is primarily a commercial role focused on how technology services fit into the complex and fast-moving media market. The role covers the full product lifecycle from concept development to launch and in-life management and eventual product withdrawal.
Market research and concept development of new propositions
Developing product launch plans and marketing & sales materials
Product reviews and in-life health checks – is the product profitable, how can it be improved?
Regular meetings with customers and attendance at industry events such as IBC, the DTG Technology Summit and Customer and Technology Innovation events etc
This role will be based at our vibrant campus, Crawley Court which is located approximately 6 miles from Winchester city centre. There will be an occasional need to travel to customer, supplier meetings and events. These predominately take place in London.
What we are looking for
Minimum 2:2 degree in Electronics, Broadcasting or Communications Engineering, IT, Networking, Business, Economics or similar
Demonstrable experience in a customer service facing role
An interest in the broadcast and media services industry
Ability to analyse and interpret market data to input into product and sales plans
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of different internal and external stakeholders
This role is primarily a commercial role focused on how technology services fit into the complex and fast-moving media market. The role is suitable for a technology graduate with an interest in business or a business graduate with an interest and some experience in technology!
