This exciting opportunity sits within the Media Cloud Platforms team based in Central London. This is an agile software development team, responsible for developing and maintaining Arqiva’s media cloud platforms. These are solutions for managing, processing and distributing video services using virtualised and cloud-based technologies. Recent projects included delivering the History channel’s programmes to Amazon Prime Video, building a system to deliver TV programme data to Freeview play’s 7 million active users and packaging live football matches for a major US broadcaster direct-to-consumer service.
The role is as a Development Operations (“DevOps”) Engineer, supporting the development and operation of media processing and management software operating in the public cloud using continuous development and integration techniques.
Using automation to solve software problems
Writing code to manage a broad variety of cloud-based infrastructure
Working alongside experienced engineers to promote industry best practices
Research and problem solving – often on cutting edge technologies
The location for this role is in our London Office at Newman Street however you may be required to travel to other sites, so a degree of flexibility is required.
What we are looking for
Minimum 2:2 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar subject.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience or understanding of software and programming languages
A genuine interest in the technology
Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
