The role!
We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Future Leaders Graduate Scheme.
This role is within the Signalling division and is based in our office in Swindon.

As a management graduate with Colas Rail, you will be enrolled in a two-year management graduate programme which has a distinct focus on the operational and project management side of our business. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working closely with our operational delivery teams and senior management on improving the UK rail signalling systems. You can expect a job with lots of variety, where no two weeks will be the same and you will be empowered to manage your time between the office and your project sites.

You will be working within the Signalling team on complex projects such as renewing level crossings or upgrading signals along some of the busiest railway routes in the UK. Within your role you will get experience of the whole project lifecycle from design through to construction, testing and commissioning, as well as gaining valuable skills in planning and stakeholder management.

Your starting salary will be £27,000 plus a £2,000 sign on bonus when you join us. You can also expect performance related pay reviews every six months; so, if you are doing a great job you will be recognised for it!

Training and Development
Throughout your programme we will support you via bespoke training and development, giving you the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your technical and managerial skills and knowledge. Our graduate scheme has also been designed to support your journey to achieve Chartered Project Management status with the Association of Project Management.
