Our electronics/electrical engineers support a wide range of activities: from warhead engineering and nuclear forensics, to building services and processes, facilities, plant, and construction.
As an electronics/electrical engineer on our graduate programme, you’ll have the opportunity to work with leaders and experts across AWE. You’ll be analysing, assessing, testing, underwriting, certifying and maintaining the nuclear warhead – reliably and safely – in support of our mission in national defence and security.
You’ll be designing, developing and testing electronic/electrical components, devices, products and equipment, for a range of advanced, diverse and unique applications. This work is fundamental to our research and understanding of the nuclear warhead under different, or extreme, conditions.
Working with expert electronics/electrical engineers, our manufacturing and production specialists and our engineering sites and assets teams, you’ll be analysing and assessing our programme requirements to determine electronics/electrical systems and processes, capacity, and costs – delivering solutions that derive value for AWE. With the exciting investments we are making in cutting-edge science, engineering and technology, you’ll be instrumental in developing and shaping plans that support our future needs in a way that’s innovative and delivers real benefit to the work we do.
The closing date for applications to the Graduate Scheme is 30th October 2019. Successful candidates must be available to attend an Assessment Centre in November and December 2019 and start on the Graduate Programme in September 2020.
