At bp, our purpose is reimagining energy for people and our planet. We want to help the world reach net zero and improve people’s lives – by reducing our emissions, scaling up renewables and investing more in the low carbon energy the world needs. On our rotational programme, you’ll play a big part in making all this a reality.

What you’ll be doing

Joining a team at the very heart of bp, you’ll learn all about the corporate legal and governance standards that shape the way we work and grow. You’ll rotate across three key areas of our Company secretary office – developing your leadership potential and a wide range of invaluable corporate governance and company secretarial skills. With the support of a buddy and mentor every step of the way, you’ll soon become a trusted advisor to your colleagues and the wider business.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for proactive, adaptable graduates who are ready to work and think at pace, in an environment that never stands still. You’ll need to be studying a relevant subject such as economics, business management, law or government affairs. Communication and teamwork skills are vital too, as is the ability to absorb and analyse complex information and then find the right way forward.

Where it could take you

At the end of the programme, we’ll work with you to help you find your next step within bp. Whichever direction you take, you’ll discover fascinating work that will help reshape the energy sector.

Why join us

With bp, you’ll get to build a challenging, varied career in a culture where teamwork, learning and respect are part of daily life. We’ll sponsor you to gain professional accreditation with the ICSA’s Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme. And you’ll achieve your ambitions, while contributing to work that makes an impact far beyond our business.
