Our Business

Our Smartspace business delivers high-quality fit-out, refurbishment and maintenance services, developing smart solutions to optimise the performance of our customers operating environments. We deliver a variety of projects including commercial offices, broadcasters, retail, airports, developers, banks, distribution centres and public sector premises.



The base location for this role is Luton, however you will be required to travel to and/or work at locations within the Smartspace region should the business require.

The Role

To work within the Building Services team will involve the technical and commercial management of projects which provide solutions to maintain and enhance the quality of the environment and community. They will ensure that the business, client and end user needs are taken into account and work within financial and safety constraints. You would also employ current and emerging technology to produce innovative solutions for development, manufacture and construction.

Professional Development

You will be required to complete an HNC Building Services Engineering Technician qualification and also Bsc Building Services qualification as part of your trainee scheme. This is in addition to the structured on-the-job learning and technical and behavioural training.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet defined deadlines
  • The ability to communicate with a range of people, including customers, clients and key stakeholders
  • Eagerness to learn with a keen eye for detail and the ability to proof-read documents
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to tailor requirements to their wants and needs
  • Candidates will be required to have a full driving licence by September 2022, this will be a condition of offer

Entry Requirements

You will have obtained or be working towards a 2:1 degree in any subject.

This role also requires a Grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE.
