We are currently recruiting for Business Analysts to join the Strategic Expansion team at Worldpay from FIS. These positions are London-based and aligned to the FIS University Program; a two-year scheme, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading fintech company!

As a full-time FIS University Program participant, you will receive on-the-job training and also have an opportunity to participate in team projects, professional development seminars and access an online learning curriculum during the two-year program. You will work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success - including quarterly performance connects with your manager and bi-annual merit reviews.

The UK program has a start date in September 2022 with a dedicated “Learning Week” where you will:

  • Learn the unique nature of our industry, products, and the markets in which we work
  • Learn the structure of FIS and options for growth within the organisation
  • Hear from FIS leadership about their journey and participate in senior leader networking opportunities
  • Build a network of peers from across the organisation

Following the FIS University Program Learning week, you will continue your learning journey with your business unit and receive further functional training as you settle into your role.

Strategic Expansion, Enterprise Merchant

As part of the Strategic Expansion team, you will support the commercialisation of new market entries and expansion initiatives to increase FIS Worldpay’s payment coverage across the world. Strategic Expansion is one of the top 5 priorities of the Merchant business, focusing on supporting the World’s largest brands, across a multitude of verticals, grow globally.

You will support the activities to build out a deep knowledge and understanding of the corporation's expansion strategy, helping to drive revenue from the regional sales teams in partnership with the General Managers and our vertical strategy teams. You will help co-ordinate marketing, events and PR activity, act as internal and external champions for our expansion initiatives (training, pipeline management), as well as partner with key business stakeholders to ensure customer needs are translated into our expansion roadmap.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-impact role. It requires a commercial thinker who can quickly build rapport with both internal stakeholders and clients/partners to drive revenue from new products in creative ways. The Business Analyst will report to the Commercial Director, Global Strategic Expansion and will collaborate closely with the regional Strategic Expansion teams, Partnership and Commercial teams, as well as functional FIS stakeholders, to achieve outcomes.

What you will be doing

In your role as Business Analyst in Strategic Expansion, you will:

  • Perform analysis of the business goals, objectives and needs of the general business environment for appropriate FIS segment, division, group, or line of business
  • Perform research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader
  • Co-ordinate and support global marketing, PR, and event activity
  • Plan, design and make commercial recommendations to change business processes and systems to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency
  • Utilise data to highlight opportunities / resolve business issues
  • Identify and implement best practice across the end to end merchant journey – looking for opportunities to differentiate Worldpay
  • Calculate / estimate cost and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed – all in support of improving, growing, and differentiating WorldPay for its merchants

Who we are looking for

  • You have a bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), listening and rapport building skills
  • Proactive mindset, with a willingness to ask questions and put forward ideas
  • An aptitude to research and analyse key information and trends
  • Commercial focus, with an interest in driving revenue and bottom-line value for the business
  • Highly organised with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills combined with the desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • You aspire to develop a successful marketing, sales or business development career within the payments industry!
