We run a series of two-week vacation schemes across our London and Manchester offices. These two weeks will give you a real insight into Clyde & Co, the opportunity to learn about how the law is applied in our core industry sectors and work in the department of your choice.
At Clyde & Co we recruit our trainees exclusively via our vacation schemes. As we recruit two years in advance for our training contracts, you should start applying for a vacation scheme in the second year of a law degree or the third year of a non-law degree. We offer training contracts in London and Manchester.
During your two week-long vacation scheme, you’ll benefit from the guidance of a senior fee earner, who will supervise and allocate you work on a daily basis. An associate mentor from a department outside of the seat you’re allocated will also provide advice and give you another perspective of life at Clyde & Co.
We invest in our vacation scheme students by allowing them to work in the department of their choice. You’ll also be invited to social events where you can network with as many people from the firm as possible.
We screen all applications on a rolling basis and assessment centres will be held in early February. If your application is successful, you will be invited into our London or Manchester office for a half-day assessment.
The vacation scheme assessment centre usually consists of a group exercise around your commercial acumen, followed by a 45-minute interview with a graduate team member and a lawyer. We also provide lunch, and our current trainees give you a tour of the office – the perfect opportunity to ask them any questions you may have about the firm.
