A placement in the Communications & Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Teams puts you at the heart of shaping Unilever’s reputation as the leader in sustainable business. From planning, delivering and communicating corporate and sustainability strategy through to managing reputational issues and advocating for systemic change, everything we do drives towards strengthening trust in our brands, our company and our people. You’ll gain skills in campaigning, media relations, advocacy, partnerships, innovation, digital communications, research, content, writing and strategic issues management in a fast-paced, externally facing environment, with a unique insight into agendas which cut across the whole business.

During your placement, you could work with teams from different areas of the business. You could be:

  • Landing stories in the media about topics from the growth of Unilever’s brands with purpose, through to ground-breaking innovations or our commitments on sustainability.
  • Working with our brands to manage issues that have the potential to impact reputation
  • Managing the roll out of a global campaign to our employees
  • Supporting the evolution and execution of Unilever’s Sustainability Strategies.
  • Researching and brief writing on key emerging sustainability issues.
  • Developing partnerships that bring purpose to life for brands
  • Advocating on key issues for Unilever, the planet and its population.
