We are looking for an active and driven Quality and Project Management – Placement Student to join our team specializing in Quality and Business improvement ensuring successful d elivery of key business projects and continuous improvement for our Cummins Business Services business segment in Darlington . During your 12-month placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Providing administrative and logistics support for the Quality and Project Management team.

  • Serving as a resource on projects and work assignments; employing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding and assisting with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.

  • Managing small portions of well-defined projects an identifying, tracking, and working with others to resolve project issues and monitoring and communicating project status to project team.

  • Maintaining project notes, databases, and other records; monitoring measures and communicating with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Supporting quality function in continuous improvement and problem solving.

  • Being a team member on 6 Sigma Project.

To be successful in this role you will need the following :

  • We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree from across all Business Management, Project Management or a related subject and not graduating this academic year.

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills; flexible and independent but enjoying a teamwork & work ethic.

  • Has experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g. voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering superior results, competencies and outside education experiences.

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
