Our Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) and Cyber and Information Systems (CIS) Divisions are looking for passionate, insightful and confident individuals to join our Graduate programme.
The CBR Division provides an integrated Chemistry, Biology and Radiation science capability. PMs will be delivering a range of exciting projects from cutting edge virology research projects to the development of new chemical warfare detection systems and projects assessing CBR hazards and their threat to UK Plc. Our project managers work alongside technical experts in their field which means no technical awareness of the area is required to manage our range of research and short term advice projects supporting the MoD and wider government.
The CIS Division delivers a range of projects in high impact areas such as space, sensing, cyber defence and data analytics. Working with our partners in industry and across Government, we manage projects that range from short term, with tight timescales, to major Defence research projects which can span a number of years.
As a Graduate Project Manager, you will utilise the skills and knowledge developed during your time at university, alongside the knowledge and practical application of Project Management that we will teach you.
You will join a team of professional project managers to manage and deliver projects that provide S&T solutions to our customer’s problems and you will be faced with a wide range of challenges that will allow you to develop a rounded skill set. You will work closely with a diverse range of both internal and external people, including Ministry of Defence Customers, Other Government Departments, academia and industry.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- an enthusiasm for continued professional development and a genuine interest in pursuing Project Management as a career.
- a good understanding of effective project control and reporting
- excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- excellent communication skills and willingness to learn the role by working with others.
- experience of working in teams and working towards and achieving goals.
- An understanding of relevant software packages to manipulate data
