Job Summary
As a Placement Engineer you will join the OBC and EES programme teams and assist in the delivery of a series of work packages and the construction of the final stage of the EES programme, as well as early package development for the OBC programme. Disciplines include civil engineering, structures, MEP, and traffic modelling. The role combines engineering design, reviewing drawings and technical specifications, collating quality documents, and working with others to supervise construction works.
Start Date and Placement Details
We are targeting a start date of September 2025 for a 12-month placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering work packages across civil engineering, structures, MEP, and traffic modelling.
- Support the construction of the final stage of the EES programme and early package development for the OBC programme.
- Produce and contribute to engineering designs.
- Review drawings and technical specifications; modify and overlay existing drawings as required.
- Collate and maintain quality documentation.
- Work collaboratively to supervise construction activities, ensuring safety and quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Working towards a relevant Construction, Civil, or M&E Engineering degree (BSc/MSc).
- Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Good AutoCAD skills; able to generate new drawings and modify/overlay existing drawings.
- Understanding of developing designs from concept to construction and compiling tender documents.
- Understanding of the CDM Regulations and Health & Safety management in construction.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Knowledge of safe systems of work, including confined spaces and working at height.
- Ability to work at heights, over/on water, and in confined spaces (training can be provided if required).
- Working knowledge of NEC3/4 Contracts.

£22,000.
