Graduate scheme

Our finance graduate programme is designed to create a pipeline of future finance leaders and we are now accepting applications for our 2022 scheme starting in September.

The finance scheme is a great opportunity for those looking to develop their career in a FTSE 100 company whilst training towards their professional finance qualification. You will learn the key skills, attributes, relationships, technical and operational understanding, to be a valuable business partner, including preparing and providing key financial information to assist with the monthly reporting cycles and key decision making.

The Programme

During our three year programme you will undertake two placements with the regional finance teams and one with Finance at Head Office, where you will gain exposure to Tax, Group Finance, Treasury, Internal Audit and Investor Relations. In addition, we will support your professional development and enable you to study towards either your ACA or ACCA qualification.

In addition to receiving first class training, we will also provide you with the exposure to our senior leaders across the business providing you with an opportunity to showcase your talents. Each graduate will work with a Divisional Finance Director to support you in completing a structured development plan and they will be with you in a mentoring capacity every step of the way.

The Person

Successful applicants will have:

  • 2:1 degree or above ideally in accounting, finance or business finance (preferred but not essential)
  • A passion for wanting to pursue a career in finance
  • Commitment to complete a professional qualification (supported by the business)
  • Willingness to travel around the UK and happy to stay away from home for extended periods of time
  • Full driving license and access to a car
