Graduate job
About Acre
Acre is rebuilding the UK’s £1.4 trillion mortgage market from the ground up with an end-to-end management system for mortgages. Our platform removes unnecessary admin, pain, and friction from buying a home—covering the entire journey from figuring out what you can borrow to getting your keys. Guided by the voices of real home buyers and our close relationships with brokers, lenders, and insurers, we’re transforming the industry. Over the past year, mortgage submissions through our platform have grown by 200%, a clear sign that we’re helping mortgage businesses scale faster and smarter.
The Role
We’re looking for a graduate with a passion for frontend development to join a fast-growing startup that is transforming the way people buy homes. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to build our platform in a way that is highly reliable, consistent, and secure. You’re highly motivated, technology-agnostic, and proud of the work you produce.

- Build reusable, tested, and efficient components that are always production ready.
- Own the full lifecycle of the UI components you build, from design through delivery and maintenance.
Technologies You’ll Use
- React for component development.
- TypeScript for strongly typed JavaScript.
- Apollo and React Context for state management.
- Exposure to RxJS and Handlebars as needed, with support from the team.
Who You Are
- Passionate about software engineering and delivering a quality product.
- Understanding of automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Awareness of security and reliability concerns.
- Experience with a range of languages, frameworks, and patterns.
- On track for a 2:1 or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another scientific discipline, or have equivalent experience.
What We Offer
- A chance to make an impact within a high-growth fintech startup.
- Monthly team social events, from trips to Brighton to picnics in the park.
- One week of free accommodation for those relocating.
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Opportunity to earn equity through our EMI option scheme.
- Company laptop and supporting tech.
- Private healthcare and a cash plan.
- Pension contribution matched by Acre up to 4%.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Breakfast, snacks, and drinks provided in our vibrant Shoreditch office.
