Starting out? The Green Alliance graduate scheme 2022-23 is now open

Our graduate scheme offers talented and ambitious individuals the chance to kickstart their careers with valuable experience working in the UK’s leading environmental think tank.

This scheme is designed to help those new to the sector gain important insights, knowledge and skills, whilst contributing to our exciting programme of projects and advocacy at the centre of political developments and the forefront of environmental policy in the UK.

Our annual cohort of policy assistants receive ongoing training and are assigned a mentor to support their personal and professional development.

You will be motivated to make a difference through bold environmental policy and political leadership. You will undertake high quality research on environmental issues, engage with external stakeholders and help advocate for more ambitious environmental solutions.

You will be diligent and proactive in your approach to work with a strong problem solving mindset. You will already have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to summarise complex information.

Green Alliance is a charity, independent think tank and advocate, committed to achieving a greener future. We believe that ambitious political leadership is the route to change at the speed and scale necessary.

We aim to create a supportive and collaborative culture that allows people to reach their full potential, and to provide an inclusive working environment where diversity is valued and everyone is able to thrive.

We welcome applications from all members of the community. We strive to be an equal opportunities employer and will accommodate special requirements wherever possible. We are committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups in the charity and environment sectors such as people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, people with experience in the care system, and first in family graduates
