This role will be based in the Performance and Assurance Team which is part of NAViGO’s Infrastructure services. The team has a wide range of responsibilities including Information & Reporting, Digital Projects, Performance, and Assurance. The team consists of skilled individuals undertaking complex and demanding work often to tight timescales. The team prides itself on being innovative and responsiveness with a good team spirit.
The post holder will lead on all matters relating to Business Intelligence to inform service developments, producing data analytics, forecasting, and modelling to inform operational and strategic decisions.
A key aspect of the role will centre around the provision of triangulated analyses across Performance, Workforce, Quality and Finance to inform the organisation’s Integrated Performance Report.
The role will lead on analytical support to NAViGO by developing and delivering customised management reports/information packs in Power BI. This will include regular reporting and presenting to the various NAViGO committees and other relevant groups, for example the Mental Health Performance Meetings and Service manager Groups.

Ideally, alongside a degree relatable to the role (Data Science, Data/Business Analytics, Statistics etc), the successful candidate will have experience in using statistical computing software (R/Python) and will be competent in SQL and Power BI. An ability to analyse large quantities of complex data to identify and suggest solutions to variances and problems identified is essential alongside attention to detail and negotiation skills. The candidate will have the aptitude to build relationships with clinical staff, understand care pathways and processes in detail. The candidate will be an effective communicator who knows how to interpret complex data and explain it to all groups of staff in a way to suit their individual learning styles and job roles. The right person will effectively influence service developments by explaining the underlying meaning and cause/effects of the data and help leaders to make the right decisions using the intelligence.
Skills and experience
Experience working with a statistical computing software (R/Python)
Competent in creating SQL queries and working with Power BI to display data
Experience of delivering high quality information within required timescales and within a pressurised and changing environment
Proven experience of developing data models and forecasting information
Demonstrable experience of complex problem solving and analysis & interpretation / manipulation of data
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-information staff.
Ability to suggest and introduce changes to the way that information is produced.

Willingness to continually develop within their profession to support the development of the role
