Group Internal Audit Graduate Programme

Internal Audit is an independent area of our firm, integral to us managing our risks, keeping the bank and our customers safe. We provide assurance by calling out risks, asking the tough questions, and challenging where we need to. We make sure effective controls are always in place.

We do this through conducting an annual plan of audit activity, which spans all parts of the Group (Bank, Asset Management, Securities and Central and Group Functions) and reporting our results to the Group Audit Committee.

By undertaking a rotational programme (four six month placements), you will have exposure across the function and gain experience of a range of audit activity across different business areas. You will learn how the Operational areas, including Audit Methodology, Quality Assurance and Data/MI usage, support the department. You will develop excellent relationship management skills, honed by exposure to multiple stakeholders in a range of business areas. As a graduate trainee, you will also be encouraged and supported to take industry relevant qualification, such as IIA, ACCA or equivalent.
