Our summer and winter vacation schemes offer the perfect launch pad for legal careers. In fact, around three quarters of trainee solicitors who join us each year have taken part in one. Lasting up to three weeks, these paid schemes will give you invaluable experience will allow you develop the skills and knowledge you need to become a great lawyer and business advisor. Working alongside partners, associates and trainees, you’ll get to support real, live client work in our key practice areas. You’ll draft documents, go to meetings, do legal research and, where possible, attend court. It’s hands-on learning that’s reinforced by workshops, discussions, case studies, work shadowing, social events and more.
As an established global law firm, we tackle some of the most complex legal and commercial issues for our clients. So we look to recruit smart, collaborative and determined individuals from all kinds of backgrounds and with all kinds of experience. A strong academic record is important: you should have, or be on track for, a good 2:1 or above in your degree. You must also be the kind of person who adapts well to new situations, delivers on their promises and has the creativity to take ideas in new directions. Above all, you must be able to work well with others and build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
