We are offering 200 Teacher Training Scholarships to reward the very best graduates entering physics teacher training.
Successful scholars will receive £26,000 tax-free funding and a package of exclusive support from us at the Institute of Physics (IOP).

To become an IOP Scholar, you need to secure a place on a non-salaried teacher training course in England by September 2021.
Being a physics teacher not only means that you’ll be able to use your degree every day, but you will also have the flexibility to work in your preferred location.

Please read our eligibility criteria thoroughly before making your application.
If your online application is shortlisted, it will be reviewed by a panel of IOP staff including experienced physics teachers. You will also be asked to complete a further online subject knowledge test based on school-level physics up to and including A-level. Successfully passing this test, the receipt of a suitable reference and gaining a recommendation from the shortlisting panel will lead to a scholarship offer. The IOP reserve the right to request candidates attend an online interview should the panel deem this necessary.
