Institute of Physics Teacher Training Scholarship

An Institute of Physics (IOP) teacher training scholarship could help you start an exciting new career as a physics teacher. 175 scholarships are available for 2022 – 2023, giving you the support you need to succeed and stand out.

With an IOP scholarship, you get:

• Support to develop your physics teaching skills including Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops and online events
• £26,000 worth of tax-free funding for your training year
• Online networking opportunities with your fellow scholars
• Free IOP membership throughout your teacher training year including access to Physics World publication, our exclusive Career Development Hub and member-led local branches and special interest groups

Scholarships are available to those training to teach in England at secondary school level.

The scholarships are funded by Department for Education in partnership with The Institute of Physics.
