At any one time Kier can have around 200-250 projects in operation across the UK, from Glasgow to Exeter, Cardiff to Newcastle, from rural and suburban to city centre sites. We may span the nation with our reach, but importantly these projects are delivered by local teams, with exceptional local knowledge and supply chain relationships, and a personal pride and passion for the projects that they are creating in their own communities.
As a Quantity Surveying Industrial Placement student, you’ll be taught how to manage the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise planned gross profit. Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and value work executed by sub-contractors.
To really make the most of this opportunity you will have a passion for our Construction business, and you’ll be on course to achieve a 2.2 or above on Quantity Surveying related programme, that must be accredited by a professional body. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence, as the role will require travel.
