We are seeking interested applicants to have achieved or be expected to achieve a 2:1 in a Science, Engineering or Environmental related degree – that’s it!.... no prior experience needed.

Your graduate scheme
You’ll be joining the Wastewater Team that are responsible for ensuring the safe and effective treatment of wastewater, providing an essential public service to our customers, and protecting the environment. No day is the same, fast paced, dynamic and multi-faceted.
Role would involve learning how we treat wastewater and look for continuous improvement as well as placements with support roles to demonstrate all aspects of how we manage this responsibility. As operations requires technical/people and leadership skills the placements would be designed to build these attributes.
Your role will include:
- Learning how we treat Wastewater and look for continuous improvements.
- Placements with support roles to demonstrate all aspects of how we manage this responsibility.
- Building on your personal attributes like technical and leadership skills throughout your programme.
Your Development:
As a part of your programme, you will take part in a number of soft skills workshops, including the following:
- Presentation Skills
- Effective Team Working
- Resilience
- Personal Branding
- Time Management
- Problem Solving
- Managing Difficult Conversations
- Project Management
In addition, you will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with your fellow graduates, such as organising, developing and running a conference event for the Institute of Water. This will allow you to develop your interpersonal and leadership skills, whilst working collaboratively with your peers.
You will also be given the opportunity to work on key business projects within your specialised field.
Good to know
Your graduate scheme will primarily be based North – East Wales. However, on occasions and with notice you may be expected to travel to sites across the whole of Wales and its borders.
Recruitment process - Upon application, you will receive a short behavioural assessment to complete. This should take 15-20 minutes. Should your application meet our criteria, the second stage of assessment will be an in-person assessment centre, which likely take place between February/March 2024 in North-East Wales.. Further information will be provided closer to the time.
