Mizuho International is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority, and has a wide range of permissions to conduct investment business.
The Compliance function’s role within the bank identifies, assesses, advises on and monitors compliance risk – that is the risk of regulatory sanctions as a result of failure to comply with applicable regulations. The team therefore manage Mizuho’s relationship with regulators and advise staff on regulatory requirements in the conduct of their business.
Many graduates and interns joining the Compliance team have an academic background in Law and an interest in pursuing relevant professional qualifications. However, whatever your degree discipline, our training programme will ensure that a thorough understanding of the Compliance landscape via rotations within the department and externally delivered training as part of the overall Mizuho Graduate Programme. Staff are supported and encouraged to pursue appropriate qualifications whilst working at Mizuho.
